On Wednesday October 21 at 5:30pm EDT, the Collectors Club will be hosting “Baseball and Philately from the Vault of the National Postal Museum ” a live, virtual program presentation by – Daniel Piazza, Washington, D.C. using Zoom technology.
Join chief curator Daniel Piazza for an evening highlighting current events at the Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum. Collectors Club members and guests will enjoy an exclusive preview of the upcoming exhibition, Baseball: America’s Home Run. The talk will feature archival and stamp production material that has never been shown before – ample reason to skip Game Two of the World Series and come to the Collectors Club instead! This will be followed by a brief discussion of NPM news and ways to connect with the museum’s content even while it is closed to the public during the pandemic. We will leave ample time for questions and answers at the end.
We will be using Zoom technology to overcome the limitations of our Clubhouse being closed and the restrictions of social distancing.
To register, please select the “Register Now” button below, which will bring you to Zoom, where the process will be completed.
If you are unable to attend, the talk will be archived on the Club’s website for viewing at a later time.
Please mark the day and time in your calendars. We look forwarding to seeing you on Wednesday October 21.
You will receive access instructions a week prior to the event.
