Straight Line Perforator
a machine once used at the <#bep=BEP> that had a set of perforating pins and a center cutting wheel. In one pass through this machine either horizontal or vertical <#perf=perforations> were produced, and the <#sheet> was cut in half.
Taxpaid Revenue Stamp
a <#revenue=revenue stamp> that is not denominated in money, but in some other measurement, generally a quantity or unit size, for example: one pint, 1/8 barrel, ten cigarettes. Example: some <#playingcardstam-gen=Playing Cards stamps>.
Transitional Perforations
<#perf=perforations> on one side of a <#stamp> that begin as perf 11 and end as perf 10. These transitional perforations were produced during the early 1920s on some <#flatplate=flat plate> stamps. The cause was the use of a gauge 11 perforating wheel on which a small section of pins was replaced by a section of gauge 10 pins.
